Can you trust online tests?

These days, it’s hard to trust online reviews. The vast majority of review sites rely on commission. If you visit their site and then click through to one of the products they recommend, a cookie is placed on your device. If you then end up buying the product, usually within 30 days of visiting the review site, the site owner receives a commission from the seller, typically 10–15 per cent of the product price. The companies that pay the highest commissions usually end up winning the review :-(.

It’s important to bear this in mind when reading reviews online, whether they’re on review sites or written by influencers.

The Pizza Steel won!

The Pizza Steel has been recommended on German television and German radio, has featured in the Danish version of *The Great British Bake Off*, and has also won a major pizza stone/baking steel test in Sweden.

The Swedish daily newspaper *Aftonbladet* tested 11 baking steels/pizza stones and named The Pizza Steel as the winner of the test.

It is worth noting that we did not pay to take part in this test.
